Recycled Garland Gift Wrap: Gift Embellishment from Recycled Paper Bunting

Recycled Garland Gift Wrap: Gift Embellishment from Recycled Paper Bunting

This recycled garland gift wrap is a great easy way to pimp up some plain paper.  I love the combination of neon stars on shiny paper, but actually these neon stars look fantastic even on the plainest of papers.Recycled Garland Gift Wrap: Gift Embellishment from Recycled Paper Bunting

In the past, we’ve made a lot of neon bunting here, and here.

But there is only so many places in the house I can “bunt”.  So I have repurposed some of it as recycled garland gift wrap embellishment.

For the garland: Cut out as many stars as you will need using a star cutter.Recycled Garland Gift Wrap: Gift Embellishment from Recycled Paper Bunting

There are two possible methods for making the garland:  1. sew together the stars using a sewing machine (see more details here).  Or if you don’t have a machine, 2. Sandwich thread or string between two stars, and stick with double sided tape.

Option 1: Sew the garland10-star-buntingOption 2: Stick the Garland5-star-gift-wrap

Whichever method you use: Secure one end underneath your parcel, before wrapping around your gift.  Secure the other end on the underside of the parcel too.Recycled Garland Gift Wrap: Gift Embellishment from Recycled Paper Bunting
