Bloody Mary Shots with Parmesan Tuiles and Parma Ham Crisps
In an attempt to inject a little fancy pants-ery in to our New Years Eve Bash, I made these mini bloody mary shots. They looked so cute as our “amuse bouche”.
Lets face it, you barely need a recipe for any of these items, but just in case……Bloody Mary quantities will depend on the size of your glass, and your taste. We went light on vodka, but chuck these ingredients in a glass and you cant go wrong.
Ingredients for Bloody Mary Shots
- 3 parts tomato juice to 1 part Vodka (Smirnoff)
- Large dash of Worcester Sauce
- Dash of tabasco
- Squeeze of lemon
- Twist of black pepper
- Teeny tiny sprig of celery or cucumber
For the Cheese Tuiles:
We made mini versions of these parmesan crisps. I tried putting our new years eve ones in star cookie shapes, but they were too small (about 2cm across) so all the star definition was lost. But this would probably work on a larger version as a garnish for risotto or pasta.
For the Crispy Parma Ham,
Place a little strip of parma ham on a lightly greased baking sheet, and pop in a hot oven for a couple of minutes until crispy. 1 sheet of parma ham makes 4-5 crisps.
Both the cheese tuiles and the parma ham crisps can be made in advance, and assemblies as a garnish just before you serve. Serve with a teeny piece of celery or cucumber in a shot glass.

What an awesome cute idea. I love the idea of mini shots, and the little side garnishes you’ve done are great.
