Cowboy Applique Cushion
I made this cowboy applique cushion for a friend when she had her third baby Orson. Isn’t that such a cute name. She has two girls already, so is ready to embrace a bit of “boy” decor. Unfortunately my photos are a little blurry. I gave the first “O” a bandana and a cowboy hat the second O became a sheriff badge and added a few more cowboy accessories: a tent and camp fire as well as a cactus.
Other things you could add would be a snake, horse or horseshoe, spurs, cowboy boots pistols etc.
I have blogged before about making applique pictures before. This cowboy applique cushion follows the same principles, but the picture is sewn in to a cushion. For applique instructions see here and for cushion instructions see here.

Perfect for little cowboys. I love the campfire, and the little bandana on the O. Brilliant.

P.S. what a cute name Orson is.

Orson is a cute neame isn’t it. Other than Orson Welles, I’ve never heard it before. Thanks for your comment, I had lots of fun sewing this.
OMG that is awesome. I am so jealous of your friend.
