Ingo Maurer Zettel – Quotes, doodles and hand drawn typography
Last week I posted about the the amazing Ingo Maurer Zettel light fitting. The light fitting comes with some pre printed Japanese paper. But I bought some extra packs of blank paper to doodle and write on my own. The perfect “canvas” for a quote or font’aholic.
The beauty of this light fitting is that the papers can be changed easily to a theme or topic. I hand drew, printed and doodled these using inspiration for things found in cafes, on pinterest, instagram, or other far flung corners of the internet.
Most are hand drawn, but some I took advantage of the opportunity to use my favourite fonts. This light hangs in our dining room, so makes a great talking point at dinner parties.
Because I was very keen to get them up and not have a “naked” lamp, I bashed these out quickly, and just used black and white. I plan to do cartoon versions, and get the kids joining in at some point.
The lamp is beautifully designed, and casts a fabulous light when we have parties.
