Gift Wrap Ideas (8): Neutrals
Today is the eighth day in my Gift Wrap series: Neutrals
My eyes are still smarting from yesterdays awesome bright selection, so today, we’ve calmed it down with a selection of neutral gift wrap options. Classy, classic and elegant, these can be simple or extravagant.
1. NATURAL EMBELISHMENTS
Agent Bauer have pulled out all the stops with with these gifts adorned with neutral and natural items. Creamy egg shells, gnarly twigs, a tactile pine cone and smooth pebbles with holes. All items readily available, but usually overlooked for decorating gifts.
2. ALL WHITE
Liebesbotschaft wraps all in white. the full white effect is lifted slightly with baker twine and wax seal.
3. LEATHER (WALLPAPER)
These gifts were wrapped in cut offs of leather effect wallpaper. I got mine from B&Q.
I use this paper quite a lot. Slightly less neutral, this gift that I posted on Instagram had an orange ribbon added. A craft tag keeps it quite neutral.
4. FABRIC
Poppytalk has a tutorial on printing your own T-towel, and then using this Japanese style of wrapping to gift. A double gift. this would be perfect for gifting cookies and other kitchen gifts.
5. PAPER FLOWERS
Master Klass has made these fabulous white and craft paper flowers.
6. DARK NEUTRALS
Nordic Bliss keeps the neutral theme, but with a darker twist.
7. ANTIQUE COIN
Papercrave have wrapped a gift in greaseproof paper, adding a vintage coin to glam it up.
8. DIY German Stars fabric and leather
I love these white parcels with fabric and leather twine from Goodideasforyou The paper origami star makes it feel pretty christmassy, but this would be gratefully received all year round.
9. B&W PHOTO
So many examples of these on the internet. I like this simple B&W photo with twine from Rachel Interiors
10. RUSTIC LINEN
And finally, simple wrapping in grey linen, tied with linen cord from the same fabric seems about as simple and elegant as is possible. This one is from Stocksy
Such beautiful gifts using natural and neutral materials. A real treat to receive. Don’t forget to check out my other gift wrap series posts.
