Halloween Lanterns from Jam Jars
These halloween lanterns are an easy halloween craft, children can make themselves from a few scraps of paper and some recycled jam jars.
Materials Needed
- Jam Jars
- Crepe Paper (Orange and White) Cut into
- Black Card
- Glue or double sided tape
- Tea lights or battery Lights
Cut rectangles of crepe paper as high as the jam jars, and wide enough to go all the way round with a 1cm overlap. Wrap each jar with the paper, and secure with double sided tape or glue.
Cut out eyes for lanterns, and toothy grins for the pumpkins.
Stick the facial features to the crepe paper.
White lanterns are ghosts.
And orange the pumpkins.
Place a tea light in each halloween lantern. Flickering battery tea lights are the best option if you can get them.
These looked great lining the pathway of our house on halloween, but they would be great inside for a halloween party too.
